NASCAR suspended his crew chief and took 50 points from Kasey himself. That tells me they are damn sure he was cheating. If you don't want to face the truth that's your own problem.but the cold hard fact is, KASEY WAS CHEATING!

Kasey Kahne wasn't the one who cheated, all he does is drive the car! He probably didn't even know about the illegal alterations.
Therefore, sending crew chiefs home is the right thing to do.
And this is coming from a non-Kasey fan.
Same goes for Kenseth, and the other Evernham drivers, they didn't do anything, but the guys who work on the cars did it.
Edit: your example is no good, it's more like sitting in the car not knowing that the friend is robbing the bank. Just like how taxi drivers sometimes unknowingly give rides to criminals, its NOT their fault, and in this case the taxi drivers are Kasey, Matt, Elliott, Scott, and Michael.
And lets see how you feel when YOUR favorite driver gets caught, because all the teams cheat in NASCAR(without the drivers knowing of course, its that competitive!

#1 - I'm a huge Kasey Kahne fan...
#2 - They should have sent every team that got caught cheating home. It doesn't matter whether the drivers knew or not. By the way, if they'd just put Kahne in a Chevy they wouldn't need to cheat!

Every driver and team is always looking for that competitive edge so they are all cheaters they jsut havent got caught yet and Johnson got caught last year, and Kahne and Kenseth got caught this year, they will suffer the consequences and then move on, and that doesnt mean that they arent talented drivers. Every driver wants his team to be the best to win the most races make the chase win the championship, get the prize money, get more sponsors, get the bigger paycheck, make everyone happy, the list goes on and on, and they try to stay within or near the rules and try to make their car be the best it can be without breaking the rules. Then their are times when they got caught, if this happened to Stewart, Jr, etc, or another big name driver you wouldnt be saying that hes a lousy cheater, in a way they all do it some more then others but can you blame them for wanting their team to be the best??

All the Evernham drivers and crew chiefs got nailed. Plus Ray is losing owner's points as well as Jack. Kahne and Kenseth, -50 driver's points, Sadler and Riggs -25 pts. Riggs' and Sadler's crew chiefs, $25,000 fine and 2 race vacation. Francis and Reiser, $50,000 fine and 4 race suspension. NASCAR is laying the smack down! It sounds to me like EVERYBODY at Evernham knew about it, I wouldn't be surprised if it came directly from Ray.

It was not Kasey who did it it was Kenny and/or any other crew member. It is sad that it has to be his team that cheated. Kasey is a great driver. Go Kasey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
``NASCAR saw the holes in inspection and told my guys to tape them up. They were taped, but the tape came off,'' Evernham said. ``I don't know why they made such a big deal about it. It was not an aerodynamic device or something that was built to fool them.''
Still, Evernham expects crew chief Kenny Francis to get hit with a suspension when NASCAR hands out its penalties.

Well I really don't think it was Kasey Kahne. He probably didn't even know anything about it. I think it sucks. Drivers get pentalized for the crew chief/crews stupidity? No.
(and I didn't say that because i like Kahne. I'm an Earnhardt fan!)

kahne isn't a cheater, and i stand behind him 10000000+%!!!!! the problem is with nascar that they have their "special drivers" and obviously everham drivers are like black sheep and that is cheating them of the fame and glory they deserve and anyone that knocks him is just jealous that their driver isn't doing as well, how many drivers can say last year they won 6 races? can jr? can stewart? can johnson? can gordon? i don' care what you or anyone say kahne is not a cheater!!!!! if anyone did this, it was probably kenny francis and kahne didn't have a clue on what he did to the car, if kahne was a cheater, i'm sure this would of happened earlier.
GO KAHNE, GO!!!!
this is only another obsticle that he WILL OVERCOME, MARK MY WORDS ON THAT ONE!!!!

I really love how people say that the driver whomever it may be is a cheater. That's not the case. The driver only drives the car. The blame should fall on the crew chiefs and whoever worked on the area or part in question.

If you are a good driver you know your car. You always hear them on their radios telling the crew chiefs when the least little thing feels different with the cars. So yes I do think the drivers knew they just want to win and were keeping their mouths shut. That way it looked like they did not know anything. They knew!!!!!!!! 9/10 times if you cheat you will get caught!!!!
