"No beliefs"? How could a person have no beliefs?
If you mean "an atheist", you need to say so. Atheists believe in everything - we just don't ALSO believe in a bunch of nonexistent stuff.
Needless to say, it's harder to be an atheist than a Christian, as Christians have pop culture to support them, and have a large support network which allows them to ignore ethics. Christianity, in the US anyway, is the easy way out.

I think it's harder to be a person in this world with no beliefs. The christian, who's life although hard and full of challenges is comforted by the fact that they know what happens when that life is over. The person with no beliefs goes through life never knowing and there for always afraid of the unknown.

Harder to be atheists.
Christianity at least enjoys the majority population and our society has come to reflect this, shunning the atheists.
To the people who think atheists don't care or have no morals.. you kids need to do some research.
Atheists have the lowest crime rates, lowest murder/rape rates, lowest rates of abortion, stds and divorce of any group in the world. We're also the biggest contributors of foreign aid and the most tolerant (plus least racist). Christians by contrast have the highest - disproportionately high - crime/murder/abortion/std/etc. rates. Statistically christians are far less moral.
“In general, higher rates of belief in and worship of a creator correlate with higher rates of homicide, juvenile and early adult mortality, STD infection rates, teen pregnancy and abortion in the prosperous democracies. The United States is almost always the most dysfunctional of the developing democracies, sometimes spectacularly so.”
“The non-religious, proevolution democracies contradict the dictum that a society cannot enjoy good conditions unless most citizens ardently believe in a moral creator. The widely held fear that a Godless citizenry must experience societal disaster is therefore refuted.” (2)

Just because someone is atheists does not mean they don't believe in something. Atheists believe there is nothing out there, they believe in natural laws. It can be difficult for both, as a christian you will get criticized for what you believe in and as an atheist you will be criticized for not believing in some supreme being. the fact is it goes both ways. I think we should all just respect each others beliefs. Besides there are plenty of other types of beliefs.

why do christians seem to assume that simply because a person is not a christian that they have no belief structure?...it is demeaning and disrespectful to other religions and to people in general, there is an idea known as secular humanism...the idea that we can all live together and treat each other with respect and follow the laws of man and nature without an overarching organization compelling us to do this, that or the other thing...christians tout their belief system as almighty yet they are some of the most hypocritical, intollerant group of people who are willing to lie, cheat and steal given the chance...no more evidence of this is needed then the actions of your so called leaders who sleep with gay prostitutes, embezel money and lie about using drugs...not to mention cheat on their wives and molest children...solid moral base...so really the question should be to you..."Do you find it hard to be so self righteous under a system that so blatantly contradicts itself?"...

you can go at this question both ways.
it is harder in a christian eyes to live in the real world because they see society different. they think how can i live in this world. people like me and othere christians just think god is peacful and he is the way to go beyond this world.
its harder to be a christian in the eyes of the world because they think christians work so hard to be accetped by god they do so much that is un necassary. they think we are people trying to change the world. they just want to live a life without out worrys but really they worry everday of there life on what might happen to them. they dought everthing to do in one way or another.
hope this helps i couldnt right more i have to go.

from my perspective it has to be harder to not believe. I don't know how people without faith survive the storms of life (the bad stuff). Just in brief--in less than two years, beginning in June 2005, my husband passed away @ the age of 42 leaving me over $100,000 in debt & no credit life insurance. I've had a complete hysterectomy b/c of cancer, been sued for non-payment of mortgage & almost lost my home. I can't imagine where I'd be now if not for my faith in God. How do people who believe in nothing cope

wow good question. We live by a different set of standards.
We have different views of whats hard and whats not.
Christians have eternity
Agnostics have nothing.
Before I was a christian my life was a lot harder in a worldly realm. The devil never bothered me because I wasn't working against him.
As a christian- man the spiritual warfare is hard sometimes.
I have learned to feel very flattered that satan is attacking me now. I believe that I must be a threat to him or he wouldn't always be trying to knock me down. BTW- I don't blame all bad stuff on satan. Just the spirital warfare I mentioned.
I don't need to blame satan I cause a lot of it myself.
