Older Women/Younger Men?

I'm 18 and I think I kind of like older women. They're more mature and more wise than younger women. I kind of like a woman who is like a mother, but not like my mom because she nags waaaaaay out of hand too much. So why do some of you older women like younger men?

i have no idea! i always though that the other way around was more logical: girls grow up sooner than guys so logically, girls should be interested in older guys! i guess these women take advantage of the fact that there are many guys like you who prefer older women cuz an 18 year old guy is more 'firm' than a 35 year old guy if you know what i mean...

I'm in my late thirties. Never in my life did I even think about younger men until I met one. I met a boy, not a man and he changed my entire life. I'm not a foolish woman or uneducated. I knew talking to him was wrong as he hasn't turned 18 yet. It was friendly banter but at the core, I was falling in love with him. It wasn't an ego boost. I certainly was not looking for him or love. I was already in a committed long term relationship. When I met him I was actually the happiest I had been in a long time. Meeting him destroyed me and I let it destroy my family. I'm not sure what attracts older women to younger men, maybe for some it's an ego boost or all about sex but in some cases it's just meeting someone that you feel a true connection with and are open minded enough to see past something so unimportant as age. (Don't judge me, I'm not a pedo. I don't like kids like that
If you're attracted to older women you're awesome. We have lots to offer and more then just 'mom' stuff.

I would never date someone who is 18 they just aren't mature enough yet. However, I did flirt around with 2 freshman boys my senior year of high school but they of course were too immature to date. I think some women do it because like another poster said they are easy to manipulate. Forget about all that sexual peak bull sh*t how the hell would and 18 year old kid know how to satisfy a grown woman in bed. Most men don't become good lovers until they are at least 25.

A younger man is alright as a boy toy because the sex drive of an older woman is about equal to that of a man 10-20 years her junior. I just don't think it works in the long run because sooner you're going to get tired of being his mother and he's going to mature enough to where he doesn't need a mother. That's when he'll start shopping around for a younger woman, or man.

It's the hip thing to do right now. I don't think MOST older women like men that are a lot younger, probably a very small percentage. It would make sense physically for a woman to date/marry a much younger man. First of all, there sexual peaks might come at the same time, also, women tend to live longer than men so they might die at the same time as well. As for me, I don't really like women to be to much older than me. Then they have cellulite and crap on their legs.

As long as the women arent to old then I think it's fine. And yeah I do kinda like older guys but the guy I love right now is like a few months younger. Good Luck with your mom!!!

women tend to like younger men because it helps them feel young again, temporarily resolves some insecurities we have about aging/still being attractive and sexy, and because we reach our sexual peak in our mid-30s while men reach it at a much younger age.

overall, age shouldn't be a factor when you're talking about love...but it is if you're looking for more casual encounters. i am curious why you seem to be specifically seeking out older women. psychologically, it stands to reason that you have some sort of unresolved issues with your mother. it also may be that you are not willing to face the responsibilities of being an adult, and that's why you are looking for a mother figure. that is perfectly natural, given the fact that you're only 18.

overall, i would recommend keeping yourself open to women from all ages, all walks of life, and find someone who makes you happy and enjoys you for who you are.

I don't know why some older women like much younger men...I'm 42 and personally they don't appeal to me at all. I don't seriously consider anyone under 30 and typically mid 30's is the preferable minimum.

I think it's an ego thing. Younger men are quicker to lavish you with compliments and flattery than older are. Plus they make us feel young again and they can "keep up" with us better than older guys can. Younger men are usually in better physical shape than older men too. You know, those gorgous 6 pack abs, muscular arms and thighs... sigh...
