Cat bites tend to turn into abscesses, which are basically an infection. Most have to be drained at the veterinary clinic, and the vet will give antibiotics to help clear up the infection. The swelling will get bigger if the abscess/infection isn't cared for. You can try some Neosporin on the spots for the time being, but taking your cat to the vet and having them take care of the wound is the best way to handle it.

If the cuts looked worse the second day, you should probably take him to the vet if his conditions don't improve over the next couple of days. His bite marks could turn into abscesses and the cuts could deepen or become infected. You might have some luck with neosporin ointment, however. This is marketed for humans, but it may help on the cuts.

About 8 months ago my cat came home with the same thing a bite mark on her paw. We took her to the vet and they said they didnt know what happened to her we had tests done and had her on meds but she just seemed to get worse.
She got very skinny and drank alot of water but acted fine. Then suddenly she died a few weeks ago.

This cat has definitely been in a fight and if he hasn't been fixed will end up fighting again. Animals don't know about the dangers of infection or being crippled by their actions. It's up to you to make sure he is safe and well. I would take him to a vet right away or at least call the ASPCA and see if you can get free treatment somewhere if you can't afford it.

Topical treatments are not going to do the job for you. Puncture wounds go deep and the infection will fester there and abcess. Your cat needs to get to the vet for some antibiotic. Please don't delay until the infection has spread and your cat just gets sicker with less chance of recovery.

You should at least boil it out with hydrogen peroxide - he probably won't keep a bandage on. Watch it and make sure it does not start oozing - if it does pls take to a vet asap

Your cat needs to be seen by a vet or it will just get worse. This cat is suffering and should be tended to already when you first saw it. Letting your cat roam is very dangerous and it should be kept inside where it is safe.
Yes, it is infected!!! Poor kitty.
