Sorry I was not more clear British Airways suspended a worker for wearing a small cross whilst allowing other faiths to wear symbols of thier faith, after a lot of press coverage in the UK they caved in and she was reinstated.

Yes, I've noticed too. But I believe BA has relented somewhat. Don't hold your breath waiting for the BBC to follow suit, though! Isn't it appalling that the State, and "Authorities" dictate to people what they can, or cannot wear as jewellery? It's a wonder we haven't been told not to wear wedding rings as that gives a clue that a person might be married! We're living in PC World (and I don't mean computers).

Religious emblems do not, in themselves, prove anything about the person wearing them, and sometimes when seeing 'stars' wear massive crosses, it's probably a case of "Methinks s/he protesteth too much" (as Bill Wobbledagger implied). The comforting fact in all attempts at censorship like this, is that God knows the hearts of people, whether they adore him or not, whether they are sincere or hypocrites, and emblems like crosses are totally unimportant. The right to choose whether to wear one or not IS important, however.

Why would anybody want to wear a cross anyway. It's an instrument of torture. You may as well wear a miniature guillotine around your neck!
Do you think if Jesus were here today he would be happy to see that he is represented by a cross which took his life?
I'm pretty sure Jesus hated the cross.
I'm all for freedom of expression, but I wish the Christians would get real and see the cross for what it was.

I've seen photos of Chelsea Clinton (presidents daughter) wearing an upside down cross on a necklace.

I don't follow celebrities, and I have no idea what a BA incident is.

They are all like sheep, wearing them never meant anything to them in the first place.

Celebrities only do it until it is no longer popular. It doesn't mean anything to them.
