yet, when those same people use verses to glorify the opposite of what I said, they consider themselves the Biblical authority? Why are my interpretations so wrong, and why our Jerry Fallwell's and Ted Haggard's so right? I've studied the Bible a lot, I just don't make money doing it...

Face it Christians...Jesus is love...not hate, intolerance and fear-mongering. Oh wait, he did get angry once...but it was directed to those in the Temple...think about it. Start acting right, he holds you to a higher standard...now, go and be a LIGHT unto the world.

Actually AC, ironically, I often find myself siding w/ the Athiests more on this site than the Christians...a lot of times they have more of an understanding than the Christians do, I wonder why that is? Hmmm..

forget the magic book. go with logic, and leave those fools in the dust if you must. it doesnt matter what you are trying to prove; using the bible as "evidence" of anything is a shaky premise.

I don't know what you are referring to, but I would note that there is a correlation between the words "ignorant" and "ignore". Are you picking the verses you like to the exclusion of others that temper or qualify the verses you are citing?
God is Love. That doesn't mean everybody goes to heaven. We must rightly divide the truth.

They do it because they like being judgmental. It gives them a feeling of superiority to condemn other people. It's a way of building themselves up. Just feel sorry for them. Just think of what that says about their personal character. It's not that they hate you; they just hate anyone who is different from them.

Now, some things are wrong. But something is only wrong, or a sin, if it causes harm to another person. And God celebrates diversity among us.

Thank you for speaking up. I just wish there were more christians like you who actually understood what your jesus said, rather than totally ignored it and used the OT to justify their own hatred and intolerance. If I believed in a god I would ask them to bless you.
