I have very thick, curly, frizzy hair. Recently, I had four inches cut off of it because it was very damaged from straightening. Now that I've had the damage and breakage cut, I want to keep it healthy, but I straighten a lot. A friend of mine told me to use olive oil to keep it healthy, does it really help?

Olive oil is good to put on dry/split ends but if you put it all over your hair it will be very greasy!

Olive Oil Is A Natural Moisturizer For Dry Hair To Get Rid Of Flaky Dandruff

Yes, it is a decent conditioner. I wish that more non-Blacks will understand that oil is a great way to get shine and condition into the hair especially if it's curly or dry. Just don't make the mistake an put too much. An alternative to olive oil is liquid moisturizer or hair dress. I also use Nexxus Humectress to get some nice condition to my hair. You can leave it in your hair, or use a bit to perk up the condition of your hair. Always, always, always, use either oil or a thermal spray when straigtening your hair. I would also recommend a RECONSTRUCTOR---nexxus keraphix, makes my hair feel new. I follow up with humectress conditioner, because it seals the deal. Hope this helps!

Yes olive oil is good for your hair. I only use a little bit personally, but that's because I have quite greasy hair. If you just put it on the tips then it should do some good. Make sure you don't do it before you go out though, coz it kind of smells a bit! If you leave it in for like an hour then wash it out it'll make your hair shine! :-)

i don't know if you wrap your hair at night... i do... i use olive oil at the end and wrap it and wear a scarf around it so that the moisture stay in the morning... wrapping you hair at night protects you ends from being dried out by the cotton pillow... it soaks up all the good natural oils from your hair.

oil your hair like about an hour before you wash your hair...wash it out goood....gives you nice soft hair.....oil your hair before straightening it with a flat iron or anything hot ..it will prevent harsh damage OLIVE OIL IS GREAT!!!!...shae butter is a really nice alternative though (and its nearly scentless) hope this helped^^

I usually put in on my ends 20 minutes before I jump in the shower. Wash it out really good. I've had good results so far!
