Is your father called "Ebeneezer Scrooge".
He seems full of the Christmas spirit.
What a charitable fellow.

Yea, why now Christmas is over or is he planning for this Christmas? I have my entire family at my house for Christmas even all the family and friends from out of State and I ask for no money. Some of them do however ask me if I would like for them to bring something or need something made. I would never ask those that I invited for dinner if they would give me money towards it. That doesn't seem very hospitable. I kind of have a open door policy during the Holidays, it's nothing for me to leave the room and come back in to find someone I hadn't expected to be here and somehow there is always enough food in fact we usually send food out when it's all said and done.

The world isn't going mad but it is fair to a bit towards christmas dinner. You are going to eat there right. If you are not going there to eat you don't have to pay.

Depends on who is collecting the money. Is it a father pays for everything, the sibling who collects and pockets the money. I always hate it in my family cuz I have GREEDY sisters that will collect money and then go CHEAP, and of course keep the left overs.
So depending if you trust the person and what does everyone else say. And whose idea was this. Are you all have T-bone steaks or what.
And something is fishy, paying for Christmas on Valentine's month. I guess they either want late payment or getting ahead of the year. lol

It is just a bit too early to talk about Christmas dinner, the last one has just settled. It depends if there are going to be a lot of people around, maybe a group of your friends are attending. If not I dont see why you are being asked to pay really!

Charging your own family for Christmas dinner? And two months afterwards? Bizarre and outrageous. Invite him to your place next year and give him a bill after the dessert.

You'd better set up direct debit for each year's festivities!
