My dog has a red rash inbetween her belly and leg. It has been there for a while now and it will not go away.

This could be a normal rash or skin allergies. Take her to your vet and have her checked.
The kind of food she is on could be making her red as well.
What kind of food is she on?
You want to stay away from foods with ingredients such as corn, wheat, fillers, beef and by products. All of those ingredients are hard for your dog or puppy to digest.
Some bad foods are Iams, Purina, Alpo, Science Diet, Pedigree, Eukanuba and Bil Jack.
Some GOOD foods are Natures Recipe, Nutro Max, Lassie Natural Way and Royal Chain.
I personally recommend Natures Recipe. It is an all natural food and extremely healthy for your dog or puppy. It leads to a shinny coat and a healthy body. It also cuts down on shedding, bad breath and the amount of stool your dog produces.
Natures Recipe had different bags for different size dogs and ages.
Stay away from wet food as it sticks to their teeth and builds up in their system. It is ok for a treat once in a while but not daily.
Before switching foods you want to check with your vet and make sure your dog or pup has no health problems.
After that you want to switch her slowly otherwise it will make her sick.
For the first week do 25% new and 75% old
Second week 50% new and 50% old
Third week 75% new and 25% old
Then they can have all new food starting the forth week.
You can find those healthy foods at your local Pet Smart or Pet Co.
Also stay away from rawhide and human food as neither are healthy for your dog. Stay with his dog food and Natural or compressed bones.
When is the last time she has had a bath?
Dogs should be bathed monthly. Using only dog or puppy shampoo. Since she is itchy I would use an oatmeal based shampoo. Make sure to use lukewarm water and rinse well.

My dog had the same thing, and the vet told us that we had to change his food. We had to also make sure the groomer was using a special kind of shampoo on him. It all has to be Hypo Allergenic, we did this and he seems to be doing a lot better, and most of the rashes have cleared.

My dog has had a similar rash, on both sides of her lower belly near her haunches. When I took her to the vet, the dr. told me to give her Benadryl (human over the counter med) in pill form, two 25MG pills, twice a day. I stuffed the pills in bites of hot dogs. But before you do this, please call your vet.

My sisters dog had this and she had to take the dog to the vet. The vet gave her some special shampoo to be used everyday and also some creme.
Please take the dog to the vet. She is probably uncomfortable.

If the hair is missing, and it's dry looking, get a skin scrape done, it could be mange...my dog had that undiagnosed for 5 months, it was a mess.
Otherwise, if the hair ISN'T missing:
Is it bothering her? Is it growing? If it isn't bothering her, I would just keep an eye on it for changes.

Sounds like contact dermatitis. Most dogs respond well to benadryl. You can give it to her in the pill form or as a cream directly on the affected area.

I had this problem with my dog. We changed his diet and also his shampoo and condition to alovera and oatmeal.

sounds like it might be ringworm. my suggestion is to take her to the vet and have it diagnosed properly, you can never be too careful.
