How would you feel if he talked to his ex? I don't think this is ok, leave the past in the past.

NO NO NO! Of course not. How do you think your BF will feel? Do you still have feelings for this ex? Does your ex know you have a BF and respects that? Somehow I just think is a bad idea. Your new guy could feel jelouse and with reason. Ask him first.

Even if you and your ex are in relationships of your own, your new boyfriend will wonder why you need to continue speaking to your ex. I mean, you are "ex's" for a reason.
Remember, men don't have platonic friends.

I actually have no choice, but to talk to my ex he is the father of my son, and they have a good father and son relationship, so i have to maintain a good relationship with him, but having said that my current partner is secure and not the jealous type and believe it or not they both get on quite good, so my answer is yes for the sake of my son.

You can talk to an ex, depends if it ended badly or not? Keep your new love close that way they won’t feel like you ahve something to hide. Be open about your relationship with your ex and your reasons for remainging in contact.

If you are still friends with your ex, it should be ok.
I'm still friends with my ex. She's an ex because the "spark" just wasn't there. We are best of friends and we thought best friends would make the best companions. Well, we never could get that far so we just decided to be very close friends.

I do not see this as an issue unless the ex or the person you are with is trying to get back with the other person. If you are with someone and you trust him or her then let them but if the other person tries to get back then it is up to the person you are seeing to tell them back off. If they do not then your BF GF should cut all ties with that person because they have no respect for you nor the person you are with. If the person you are seeing continues then move on because they are not worth your time.

If you are just talking and it's friendly chatter with no hope of reuniting with them, then there's no harm. But you should be upfront with your current partner and take their feelings in to count. If you do it behind their back, even if there's nothing there it will give the appearance that there is something to hide.
