My female torbie will spray the fence. I have seen her do it a number of times. She was spayed when I got her from the shelter at about six months of age thirteen years ago. There is a cat who lives on the other side of the fence and can't get in my yard because of my cat fence-in. Sylvie can't get at him either. A couple of my male cats will do that too.

Female cats spray just like male cats. Only difference, it doesn't smell nearly as bad.

No, but one of my friend's cats did. You might want to check the source of her spraying if you don't think that she's doing it to mark her territory. I know some cats who had urinary tract infections and sprayed as a cause of it.

without understanding if she is spayed, it really is a touch frustrating to respond to. If she continues to be intact, she is completely spraying to entice a mate. in case you want her to renounce, spay her. If she is spayed, if she replaced into spayed after her first warmth cycle (or each and every time thereafter), she is in all danger doing it because of realized habit, no longer unavoidably because she is marking. sparkling the wall with a sturdy cleanser made for puppy odors and evaluate shifting the muddle container in case you may. If the container isn't against a wall, she might want to provide up (yet when she is in warmth, she'll only discover yet another wall).

Yes, I have had several female cats that spray. It is not an uncommon thing.

Yes. I have a calico that does the same thing. She really only started once we adopted another cat and I am sure she is marking her territory. When we first adopted her, the vet said that calicos like to be lone cats in the household, they don't like to share their space with other cats and boy that is true.

I have a spayed female who will spray the wall of her litterbox. I had assumed it was one of the neutered males until I saw her do it! Thankfully she doesn't spray anywhere else.
