I need some help or tips on how to train my puppy to urinate and do his business outside. I let him out every morning to do his business and sometimes he does it but other times he doesnt. What should I do to train him?

With every puppy crate training is very important.

-You want to get a proper fit crate. I would recommend one that is for all life stages. So you can buy just one crate. You want your pug to be able to turn around, sit, stand and lay down.

You do not want to let him have any food or water in the crate. Also do NOT put the puppy pads in there as he will get confused.

You may give him a toy such as a Kong or a Natural bone. Stay away from rawhides as they are unhealthy for dogs and puppies.

He should only be in her crate when your not home or can not watch her closely.

The crate is NEVER to be used to punishment. It should be a happy and safe place he wants to be in.

-Potty training can be difficult with some breeds. You want to buy puppy wee wee pads. Place one by his food and one by the door you want him to go out or to when he has to make potty. Each week move the wee wee pad by his food closer and closer to the door until he has just one pad. Then leave it there until he gets the hang of going outside.

You want to take him out as soon as you let him out of his crate or 15 mins after he eats or drinks.

Reward him when she goes outside or on his pads! Give him a treat and lots of loven.

NEVER shove his face in his mess if he has an accident. Also NO HITTING it will make him aggressive.

Just use a strong WRONG or BAD BOY! Then take him right outside.

-Now for feeding him you want to make sure he is on a healthy puppy food. Nothing that contains Corn, Wheat, Beef, By Products or Fillers. These ingredients are very unhealthy for the dogs and puppies and hard to digest.

Some examples of bad food are Iams, Purina, Science Diet, Diamond, Pedigree, Eukanuba and Alpo.

Good foods are Natures Recipe, Nutro Max, Lassie Natural Way and Royal Chain.

I personally recommend Natures Recipe as they have it for all life stages. Natures Recipe is all natural and is completely healthy and easy for your puppy to digest! It leads to a healthy body and shinny coat. Natures Recipe also cuts down on shedding, bad breath and the amount of stool they produce.

On the bag it will tell you how often and how much to feed him.

-NO HUMAN FOOD! Not a good thing to get him started on as it is unhealthy for dogs.

- I would also recommend training classes. Any breed can make wonderful pets if they are trained well at the right age.

Be patient take the dog outside and refuse to move until the the dog pees or whatever. Then praise take a short walk. Don't go inside until the dog goes. Take them out and read up on the crate.

Also consider training a cue command like go pee or do your business, it make life easier.

Good Luck

First, get a no pull harness. That will give up her straining and pulling on the finish of the leash considering it is uncomfortable underneath the hands in the event that they pull. Next, difference instructional materials, a couple of steps, and make your puppy sit down with it is again to something it is over reacting to. Repete until puppy will get the suggestion that calm watching is fine, and barking lunging, circling at the lead and many others, does not get them the reaction they wish. Take treats whilst strolling , kitty kibble ordinarily is exciting ample and handy to convey, and deliver tiny treats after they act calm or sit down while advised. Be certain your puppy is getting tons of intellectual and bodily recreation to maintain healthful and mentally/emotionally balanced. Maybe uncover an agility direction and instructor that you simply would paintings with, or educate your puppy to seek for matters you conceal across the apartment and backyard. Enjoy your little puppy, seems like a shrewd and keen one.

Pay your dog for making the right potty choice, and praise him. Use fabulous treats : diced chicken, turkey, ham, steak - not a whole bunch, but a few pieces of these treats - immediately after he goes. Remember that if he doesn't go, back to the crate and try again in 15 minutes, until he gets it.

You have to keep an eye on your dog when he is in the house to make sure he doesn't do his bussiness in there. If he does and you catch him, just give him a little spanking on his bottom, or tap him on the nose, or you could give him a time out. Eventually, your dog will learn his lesson and go do his bussiness outside. My dog was just like that ^^

Crate Training

A crate can be used as an adjunct to housebreaking puppies. By instinct, most dogs do not want to defecate or urinate in their den -- in this case, the crate.

You should try training your dog on the pee pee pads first. Then when the pup gets use to going on that move the pad outside. He should respond to going outside after that. I have 5 maltese and that seemed to work for me on all of them. Hope it works for you.

We crate trained out Lab. We also tried to let her out every hour on the hour when she first was in our home, so she got used to using the grass to eliminate. When she did eliminate on the carpet, I would reprimand her by holding her collar (not tight) and pointing to the spot. The other key was to clean up the spot with a good cleaner, so that it wouldn't become "her spot."
