Most diet drinks are made with aspartame, a calorie-free sweetening agent with a bad reputation. I havent read up too much about green tea, but if you buy comercially prepared green tea then it's usually sweetened with honey or sugar, adding calories.

Because it has no sugar in it. It's the sugar that racks up all the calories in regular sodas. Yes, it CAN be. Green tea contains some sugar. Look at the label.

Carbonated water, caramel color, aspartame, phosphoric acid, potassium benzoate, natural flavors, citric acid and caffeine.
What you were drinking was a chemical cocktail, carefully formulated to give you absolutely no nutritive value what so ever.
However you are getting 40 mg of salt, which will make you thirsty and want to drink more.

the flavours in most pops arent real just acids and things to trickthe tongue into thinking its getting real foods that the way diet foods are the sweetness is one of three main additives like nutrasweet or sacharine see its just the chemical eqivalant of the sugars and real flavours,, so there wouldnt be any real sugar or fats its just water thats treated to taste like something its not like real coke or pepsi i drink diet all the time
