Alka seltzer for cold symptoms, clear liquids and lots and lots of rest. My husband likes theraflu, it works well for him. Just sleep it off sweety!!!
Oh and make sure that anyone living in your household washes their hands constantly, to prevent spreading.

sleep and drink Theraflu. it really does help. Its not gross, they have different flavors and some are really good. Thats of course if you don't want to go to the doctor.
Oh and another good thing to do, is boil to potatoes, take them off the stove, breathe in the steam that comes off them (cover your head with like a towel, so less steam gets away), that is good for your skin and something in potato steam makes the colds go away. I've done if plenty of times, it works wonders (do it more than once..) Carrots work too.
Or boil an egg, put a towel over it, and put it on your nose (between the eyes) it will ease up the pressuer in your sinuses.

you have sinus infection that's why you can't taste anything. You really need to get an antibiotic if it becomes to bad. Try a hot bowl of steaming water up to your face and inhale the moisture for a few minutes, this will help drain and unblock your nasal passage. Also sudafed behind the counter with real psudephedrine works good.

Steam is the best for the congestion but time is the only cure. Try getting lots of Orange Juice or vitamin C in the future to avoid the severity of the attack.

Go to the store and get some medicine. Have some soup and sleep as much as you can. Drink a lot of water and take a hot shower.

Well, I would recomend seeing your DR. it might be an infection. It sounds like you want a home remedy though...buy some cold medicine. I like dayquill/nyquill. When you sleep at night, use a humidifier. It will help keep you from getting congested. Use some Vicks rub if it's that bad.
