It comes and goes, and it really feels like someone is just punching me over and over again. The pain starts from the middle of my stomach and radiates up and out to the sides. It gets worse when I eat. The pain is only in my stomach, not in my chest or anything. When it happens it's like one flash of pain, then stops for a second, then another flash of pain, then stops for a second. Do you have ANY ideas what this could be? Please help me! Thanks to all in advance!

Well, my bf just had his pancreas taken out cuz he kept having pain in the middle of his upper stomach. It wasn't quite the chest, but he felt like it was over his tummy, like right where the rib cage ends. Is that the pain you're experiencing? He had gall stones and yes, it got worse with eating. Have you eaten any fattening, oily foods? That usually sets it off. It can get serious, you need to get it checked out.

Sounds like a stomach Ulcer...They are irritated when you eat...can be treated fairly eisily...See a Doctor because if left untreated pain will worsen and internal bleeding could occur.
