Yes in the state of texas you can legally move out, as long as your parents know about it. If you leave without their consent they can claim you a runaway, and you can be charged, but you won't be forced back home. In other states you have to be emanicipated, but in Texas the legal age to rightfully leave is 17. Just be careful what you wish for . . . it's not easy to pay rent, go to school, and eat!!!

Correction little girl! You dont know what you want Your parents lknow whats best for you. Listen to then. Your to young to be out in the world by yourself. Your probably just on your period right now. Let it pass and you"ll feel better. Trust me you wont last a day without your parents. Also unless your parents give permission then you cant go to your friends house

Any seventeen year old that thinks they can make it on there own is foolish. Stay home(unless your abused, then seek help in your area). Do you know what it cost to live? Unless you make about 75000.00 a year, you better keep your butt home.
