Love god above all else
and love your neighbor as you do yourself.

I'm pretty sure everything else gets lumped into this two.

What do you guys think?

Yes, Jesus said this. But could someone live by these two only and be good to go?

Jesus already said it. And He was right.

Those two cover the Law of God.

But they don't say much about salvation. If you want two precepts which summarize what God declares to us , then try :

1 God created all things including man.

2 God wants all to be with Him in eternity

See, the subject is that God is an extremely unscientific theory. It has no falsifiability, and is therefor, no longer verifiable as reality. Why complication related to the muse of the universe whilst there are a lot of greater issues to be concerned approximately? I hate it whilst human beings attempt to elevate the creation of the universe in arguments via fact the religion advocates say "the place DID the huge BANG COME FROM" and the the atheists say "the place DID GOD COME FROM" and without warning, there's a stalemate.

Yes you can. Jesus did say that, but regardless the fact that he did say that, it is a good precept to live by. That's how I live and I am not a Christian, but a Wiccan.

It was...

Love God above all else...and love thy neighbor as thyself.
AS THYSELF - does not necessarily mean 'as you do yourself'.

But this could be condensed further to 'Be LOVE'.

Yes, this is correct. That's why Jesus taught it two thousand years ago, almost in those same words. :-)

That's what Jesus said, and I think He probably knew His stuff.

why would anyone need to attend church, tithe etc if it was that simple, how would the catholic church etc make countless billions every year if they admitted it was just that simple

there's a reason religous dogma is complicated, it keeps the clergy employed full time

Lies from the Jewish tradition.
