After many months of praying and seeking, one morning Jesus' voice awakened me from sleep and gave me the comfort and increased faith that I needed.

I couldn't imagine living any other way. I've been intrigued by religion and spirituality since I was a little child. Part of it is that I was raised in a highly religious home, but that's not the entire story. I enjoyed religious services and always had a interest in all things spiritual. I've studied many religions other than my own, and have many non-Christian and atheist friends, so I've examined their perspectives, as well. I have chosen to remain religious not simply because I was born into this particular faith, but because I've checked out many other perspectives, and have decided by choice that my religion is the right one for me.

I think I'm more spiritual than religious. I'm spiritual because it benefits me to know myself and how I connect with all that is. And I find peace in certain spiritual practices, which promote stress relief and piece of mind. When it comes down to it, it's very personal and it works for me.

Because I have tried the ways of the world and found it lonely and very unsatisfying. Jesus is my comforter and with Him I can face anything and never have to walk alone. God is the one who created us and gave us a driver's manual (Bible) for our care and upkeep. It is not by force but by choice whether we choose to use it or not. It is for our spiritual, physical, mental and emotional well-being. God's way is not of force, but, loving and leading. Too bad some Christians don't understand that and by their behavior make religion so unappealing. Have a great and blessed day. Mmm

Why am I spiritual?

I have always been spiritual - that is who I am.
(although I was not raised in any religion, I have always had interest)

I consider myself to be spiritual, but not religious. I believe that God exists, but I don't let others tell me how to worship Him.

It's a personal choice I made. It's the way I want to live my life. The way I see it, even if there is no God and no heaven when I die, I'll still be happy about the choices I made to live for something greater than myself.
