No, it won't work that way. When you expand your sets, you have to get the same make/model as the base.

Also, check and see if your base is expandable to the many units. Some will go up to 8, others will go up to 4.

That simply is telling what frequency range the phone is using to transmit its signal. Any frequency higher than 3.0 GHz is fine, as at that range it liekly won't be interfered by anything els ein the house. Just do a quick look around all the wireless gadgets in your house and figure out what frequency they use. If you purchase a phone that uses the same frequency, the two objects could potentially interfere with each other. Avoid cordless phones in the 2 GHz range, as this is the range the average household microwave emits, and when your microwave is active, it will interfere with yout phone. True story!

here is a website to help you....I don't know which phone you got, but usually you have to put your extension on the main-base to register, and download your phone-book from them main-base....with the Uniden you can mix-n-match only the TRU...TCX and ELTBluetooth... call there customer service and ask, they are very nice...1 800 435-5634

you can have up to 10 extensions! I wait until there on sale with free shipping, then I buy!

If you get another brand, it won't work with your existing phone. It will work from its own base though. Cordless phones all have their own radio frequency. Good luck.

Yes as long as they have their own main base... this is the most cost effective way...
