Not as much as the lab thinks it needs. *cough garbage cans*
There is a simple formula. Basically it relates to weight, activity level, weather, health and a few other factors.

Then compare the caloric requirement to the calories put cup listed on the dog food.

Good luck

Go by the guidlines on your food bag, they are usually pretty accurate. the better the food, the less you have to feed because there are fewer fillers. go by the bag and keep an eye on the dogs weight. if it seems right and stays steady then you are feeding the right amount. increased activity means you might want to feed a little more. labs are notorious for being food monsters, so don't let him fool you into thinking he isn't getting enough!

Ours is pretty big, (107lbs, but not fat), he gets 4 cups a day -- he is walked in the morning and evening about 4 miles -- remember, a happy lab is a tired lab. ;)

If you feed dry food, limit water after feeding for a bit, ours tends to drink too much water, food expands and comes right back up.

A lab should be fed 4 times as a puupy so in your case your dog should be fed 2 times a day with plenty of water.

That depends on weight, activity level, type of food and many other considerations. Look at the dog food and use the guidelines on the back of the package, or ask your vet.

The amount of food depends on the labs weight and the calories per cup of the food you're feeding them. So how much does your dog weight, and what kind of food are you feeding?
