Depends if I was preparing it for anyone else. If I was, I'd have to scrap the lot and start again. If it was just me, I'd have a fish around to see if I could find it. If I found it, I'd just carry on and pretend nothing happened. Gross I know, but its just my blood and stuff, and a bit of dirt does you good. I wouldn't want anyone elses blood anywhere near my food though!

Should this question be 'What SHOULD you do?' If so then the food should all be disposed of, and any utensils and equipment needs to be sterilised and all surfaces thoroughly cleaned. This is why it is essential to use blue plasters in food preparation areas, as the chances of it dropping off unnoticed are significantly decreased.

I'd throw both the food and the plaster away even if the food was just for myself - the thought of even eating food that had plaster in would make me heave.

If it didn't drop in the food I would wash and dry my hands and put on a new plaster. If it dropped in the food I guess it would be best to discard it.

That is really gross. I am afraid that I would have to throw the food away and start again. It is not particularly hygienic to cook with a plaster on your hands in any case.
