If you go to irs.gov they will give you a list of sites that will let you file your federal taxes for free online. I used TaxAct.com and it was extremely easy to use and free! I should be getting my refund next week. Good luck!

We generally pay people to do our taxes but this year we decided to use Turbo Tax and for us it was about $70 but we got a big refund and lots of deductions that we didn't even think about so my vote is that and it was still less than the $200 it usually cost us for paying someone to do them.

What I would do is first check the IRS website to see if you qualify for free file. Here is the link:
http://www.irs.gov/app/freeFile/jsp/index.jsp?ck
It's so easy to choose one of those companies and once you do, they practically walk you through the process step by step and it's extremely easy! You should have no problem at all. We use H & R Block online and it was virtually problem free.

Go to IRS.gov and click on individual and there is a place where you can click on efile for free. After you click on there it will ask you if you want to pick out which company you want to efile through or for them to pick out the best on for you. If you have previously filed efile for your state taxes the year before, you may also file for free at your state website. You have to go to your state website address and see if you qualify for it.
