Make sure you grow the top and bangs long too--trying to bring back the mullet is a bad idea.

Mom's been griping about my hair for the past 7 years. "It's too short! I liked it when it was longer!" Well, she wanted it shorter when I had it longer.
Look, it's your body, but I'll give Mom one thing -- long hair is harder to keep clean. It may be a pain to tie it up into a hair bonnet if you work in a restaurant in the morning when you're in a rush.
Sometimes, easy is good.

MY HAIR IS past my shoulders... and it looks great. Shiney and silky. But when it starts to get near your bum, you have to cut it. Yes, it is "kool" to have long hair.. and if you've never had long hair, you can try a different look. Long hair makes a girl look more girly, feminine.

My hair is past my butt, now. It takes a good ten years to get that long for most ppl. If you truly want to have long hair, then you just have to keep going. Every time you cut it, you're back to square one.
'Course, when I finally cut mine, I'll shave my head. It's just hair...

I think you should let your hair grow if you want. I mean big deal if your mom and friends don't want it long. It is your hair. do what u like u know what i mean.
