She doesn't necessarily need more food, but she needs high quality food. Don't treat her any differently, make sure she gets enough exercise (she will let you know if she doesn't want to walk). In a week or so, you should get her used to being in the crate or whelping box, whatever area you have decided for her to whelp in.

Yes, you should let her eat as much as she wants. You also need to make sure she's still getting plenty of exercise. Other than that, treat her like normal. You might want to introduce her to her whelping box in about 3 weeks so she can get comfortable and feel secure in there. And she should have a check-up at her vet's in a week or two as well.

She will need different food that your Vet can reccomend. You will have to be much more careful around her. And she will need lots of extra attention.

Didn't the rescue group give you any information on this? They really should have gone over this with you before letting you rescue or foster a pregnant dog.
Call your vet and discuss it with him. This way you'll get the right answers for sure.
If you *chose* to breed this dog, shame on you. Only show champion dogs or working champion dogs should be bred. To breed your pet quality dog for fun is shameful, unethical, and immoral. If you were going to be like this, you should have at least taken the time to LEARN about breeding before doing it. I'm guessing you didn't do any of the WCA recommended vet tests and are now passing on crappy genetics as well. Great, now I'm all nauseous again.
Don't believe me? Believe the:
AKC: http://www.akc.org/breeders/resp_breeding/index.cfm
Westie Club of America: http://www.westieclubamerica.com/breed/acquire.html#breeder
DogPlay (pro responsible breeding site): http://dogplay.com/Breeding/index.html
Ugh.
Edit: Oh, I see. The neggers are FOR BYBs and breeding poor quality animals? They are FOR the high kill rate in most shelters? They are FOR people breeding dogs because they FEEL like it - with no research or screenings? For shame.

Not only does she need more food, she needs DIFFERENT food. She should be on puppy food by now. Since you haven't learned this stuff BEFORE you decided to breed her, you are going to have to learn everything quickly. Talk to your vet to learn more.
