have alot of chew toys around in each room. When she goes to bite you grab her mussel and till she stops shaking her head (that gets them mad) say "dont u bite me" and give her a toy. I started that with my puppy at a very young age and hes still teething and let me tell you he has not touched anyones skin with his teeth . Good luck.

First of all, how old is the puppy? The nipping could be due to teething. I had a foster who was in this stage. I got a washrag wet, tied it in a knot and froze it. He loved it! And it cut down on the chewing! Just say NO firmly and let her know YOU are the pack leader. It will take time, but she will come around. You would also try an obedience class! Good luck!!

NEVER BITE BACK A DOG! Who comes up with this stuff??? You don't want to get into a biting match with your dog. This will just show them that it's okay to bite when you know you can win and later down the road the pup will try and take over as the alpha.

When the pup bites over react. Yelp "OWWWWWW". And hold your hand like it's really injured. Do this for say 30 seconds and then continue playing. When the pup nips again, yelp "owwwwww" again and leave the pup. Don't play for a bit and then go back to playing. Keep repeating this. A mother dog will yelp every time the pup plays too rough. They overexagerate as well to get the point that they have to play nice with their mouths. If the pups don't stop then they don't get to play.

You don't have to abuse, or hurt a dog to teach it. Just take away the fun play time and they will learn that if they don't play nice, they don't play at all.

you're good. Cowboy is purely teething. you may no longer truly do something to quit it. sometimes you in basic terms would desire to stay with the aid of it. ultimately he will improve out of it. besides the indisputable fact which you provides him extra chew toys. Like take an previous dish rag or towel, or some thing, and tie a knot interior the middle. The canine will love taking part in tug-a-conflict with it, and this is superb for this teething technique. i actual advise pig ears, he will love that, yet he likely would be protective of that, so in case you have youthful siblings that does no longer understand, it probably does no longer be the final. additionally, there are flossies. they're spiraled bone that MY canine loves, i do no longer understand if it became purely her, yet she would have spent the whole day chewing on that. purely save on doing what you're doing, and probably try what the guy in the previous me reported, this is likewise a great technique to look into. ultimate needs!

Bite her back. I know this sounds mean, but anytime my puppy bit me, I'd bite her lip. Not hard, but enough to get my point across. I saw this on martha Stewart when she had the dog whisperer on, he agreed it was a good method. After you have have bitten her say "BE NICE" very firmly, then after a while, all you'll have to say is be nice and she'll know what you're tring to tell her.
