Absolutely. If you're in your teens, see if you can find the book -Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret-. It's a golden oldie from my youth about a young girl who decides she wants to learn about religion. Even if you're a bit old for the book, it might be worth a read just to see what sorts of questions she asks.

And remember, you don't have to rush into any sorts of decisions. Take your time to explore and learn and make the right choices for yourself.

Of course. You can and must choose your religion. The same goes for your political view. The only thing you must NEVER change is the football [soccer] team you cheer for. And it'd better be one your parents like.

you can and should, in my opinion, just because a certain faith makes your parents feel connected to their version of god doesn't mean it can or will do that for you. i would at least explore their religions, mainly because you have a "teacher" availible who can help you with your studies, and at least it would help you become more clear on what you do and don't want in your faith.

most likely, a change in faith will require a conversion process that lasts at least one year.

hope that helps!

Sure.

Unless your parents put the smack down on you. Then you can pick when you're 18 or when you're old enough to stand up to their guilt.

You must decide what you want to use for guidance. I recommend Scripture. then try to be true to your choices. Hopefully they are good choices, and will lead to life.
