only Aramaic religions believe in judgement after death. All of the other religions believe in rebirth or going into the void, or going to a mystical land of some sort regardless of your life on earth. All three books you mentioned have the same basic Old Testament( for lack of a better term) so there belief systems will stem from that. However, if it is accurate is objectionable. I mean really- these people stay out in the sun all day long in arid conditions and they are mostly zinc deprived, so there accurate interpretation of reality may be askew.

The "God" who is supposed to be so kind, forgiving and wonderful has some pretty tough rules.
Basically it doesn't matter what how good a life you lead you have to believe in the unbelievable to be a good person.
It doesn't wash with me,I try to live a good life but if I said that I believed in god it would be a lie and lying is supposedly a sin.
I believe religion is just a way of controlling the masses -making them strive for the unachievable because it basically denies anything which is human nature.

The only reason we came to this material world (hell) is because we do not acknowledge God's existence. Until we acknowledge His existence and worship Him, we will remain here, period. Fools not only deny His existence but also mock and are very offensive towards Him, little they know that by their actions they are advancing further away from getting out of this miserable hell named Earth. God being all merciful patiently waits for these fools to come to their senses and start going in the right direction.

Athiests absolutely hate Christian fundamentalists, holier than thou, telling them they're going to burn in hell for eternity. What athiests don't seem to know is that they, too, are bigots. It isn't just Christian fundamentalists who destroy, torment, influence people to terrorize 'undesirables'.
Athiests, too, think every Christian preaches eternity in hell for doing nothing wrong...for only living the way ONE decided to live BEFORE ONE CAME HERE...to see who they really are...by not knowing they are being watched, recorded; i.e., not knowing there is a spirit world or a kind, loving God, (not a horrible Leviticus-type God made up by people so less evolved than we are(!) thousands of years ago). Athiests chose this class, this course at school Earth. Why can't you leave them alone?
It is abusive to make children and adults think they are going to hell. You are a victim of abuse, and you have turned into an abuser.
Save us normal people: normal Christians who hear what Matthew, Mark, Luke and John say about their experiences with Jesus or with the people who knew Jesus; save athiests, save people of other faiths FROM HATE-FILLED EXTREMISTS!
And save us, too, from the extremist athiests, who are bigots, who believe all of us Christians are the same. We're not! There is no wider variety of people in a group than in the Christian camp.
YES, I pick and choose what I believe in the Bible. Thank God some of us can tell what a kind and loving God is and isn't!

None of those books were written by God, and all represent the selection of oral traditions that were started years, even centuries, before they were written down, and in languages that are not easy to translate, so relying on a translation is tricky at best.
It is possible that God will treat dead people differently if they were believers or not in their lifetimes, but I doubt it - and of course, if there is no life after death, no one will be able to tell you you were a fool for believing there was.
The more interesting question to me is, if you believe in those books, and you do not live up to the high standards they set down, will you be punished for knowing the standard and not living up to it, while those of us who do not believe will be treated leniently because we did not believe.

You honesty believe this rubbish?
Nature and science do not point to a god - they started contradicting your crappy 'holy' books when we showed you the earth was not flat, the sun did NOT go around us and that we evolved from other animals.
What will you say to Ganesha the elephant god when YOU die and he asks why you've worshipped the wrong thing? Hmm? You dummy.

I don't believe in God, but if I'm wrong then surely He can understand my reasons and forgive me, after all, He supposedly forgave the man who supposedly helped cause his death.
What are you gonna say if it happens to turn out that you've believed in something that doesn't exist all your life?!
edit: believing in God is not scientific either

I would say... Why did you give the perfect Adam&Eve the easy choice, don't eat of the tree? Why did you give the rest of us imperfects the much more difficult ones, Do not...fornicate,masterbate,be a glutton, get drunk, on & on & on? I don't think you're being very kind. Then, you left us all to rot for centeries, and refused to communicate in a way that I'd have no doubt it was really you !

if he were to exist i wouldn't want him to save me as i hate him for all the evil that goes on in the world and i cant understand why he would make nature so evil, and how he can let priests sexually abuse children etc
i would never forgive him for all the misery in the world. and basically i wouldn't like him, but that's my opinion.
and i don't believe he exists

There is no evidence for the existence of God.
The bible, the torah and theQuran are not separate sources, they are the same book rewritten
