how do i arrange furniture in a rectangle room with a fireplace?

THE rOOM iS 22X19 WITH A VOLUME CEILING. THE FIREPLACE IS IN THE CENTER OF CEILING. WE HAVE A ENTERTAINMENT UNIT ON THE WALL TO THE RIGHT OF THE FIREPLACE. TO THE LEFT IS A BAY WINDOW WITH A 9FT. SHELF. THE SHELF IS TO HIGH FOR A WINDOW SEAT. THIS FAMILY ROOM JOINS OUR KITCHEN.

This is what I did for our odd shaped family room. I took a piece of paper in the shape of the room then made little replicas of our furniture and other things I was planning on putting in the room. I kept changing the the replicas on the paper until I arranged something I really liked. It worked for me and I hope it works for you.
