Sometimes my two-year-old son sleeps a long time at night (sometimes he doesn't take a nap during the day or takes it at an unusual time). Lately he's been experiencing leaks whether we use Easy-Ups or nighttime Pull-Ups. Does anybody know of a solution? I've considered putting a cloth diaper doubler in a Pull-Up so it has more capacity and he can feel the wetness (and therefore learn to hold it until he gets to the toilet), but my main goal is to help him keep getting the sleep he needs.
He has started using the toilet--he'll use it anywhere up to around five times a day--but he's not really consistent about it yet, and I don't want to push him.

If the training pants aren't bothering him and he's sleeping all right, I don't see the point in taking him for a change; it just disturbs his sleep, and then he doesn't want to go back to bed. If he showed discomfort, of course I'd want to get him a change to make him feel better.

My son started out in mainly cloth diapers; he'll outgrow the biggest covers we could find for them soon. He'll also soon outgrow size 6 diapers. So regular diapers aren't really an option.

I went through this with 3 children. There really are no Pull-ups that are that absorbent. The best thing to do is eliminate drinks before bedtime and have him use the potty before bed. A lot of kids drink bottles at night and this makes it impossible to stay dry and will usually result in a leaky diaper. Don't let him drink within an hour of bedtime. Good luck !

Since at this point in potty training you're not training him to get up and use the toilet in the middle of the night (at least that's what I understand from your details), perhaps putting an actual diaper on him for bed would still be the best option. They're more absorbant that pull-ups, and like I said if he's not expected to get up and use the toilet in the middle of the night then I don't see any reason not to put a diaper on him.

Pull ups are not as absorbent as regular diapers. My daughter is 4 and she is not even close to going through the night dry, we use regular diapers, sometimes a bigger size or overnights for those periods where she does leak through, and it seems to hold. We also limit drinks after dinner and have her pee before bed.

My son takes medicine and he has to where pull ups at night and I was having the same problem. The best brand I have found is Overnites by papmers I think...they have 4wheelers on them, or believe it or not if you have a Rite Aid- I use there brand if I can't get to the store and they work great... a little funny looking- but NO LEAKS!

Huggies over night training pants in 3t's or 4t's! Works great, no leaks! Use a rubber sheet (sold in new born section of walmart) under him! Or if you put him to bed early and you stay up late, change him before going to bed yourself!

To me its ordinary and easy, in the event that they do no longer seem to be dry or mess loose, they'd desire to placed on diapers. it isn't the top of the worldwide to placed on diapers at evening for defense. My son is 5 and wears diapers to mattress each evening for mattress wetting. he will exchange into dry sooner or later yet till then why difficulty related to the small stuff. save the diapers on till he can stay dry for a pair weeks. i think of its worse for a baby to awaken to a moist nasty mattress and moist nasty pajamas. save him in diapers at evening..

You need to change his diaper at night. If he goes to bed at 8:00pm, you need to change it by midnight. No diapers can last a whole night.
