when ever i open a program like microsoft word or go to the search program in the computer a message appears on the screen saying installing windows 2000 premium and then it says insert windows 2000 disc i have to press cancel bout 4 times before it stops. can any1 tell me how to stop this..?

put in your windows cd. it appears some parts that you need to run certain programs weren't installed properly.

It's probably the Office 2000 CD it's asking for. One of the Office Service Packs needed the original installation files for technical reasons, and if you don't have it the Service Pack keeps trying to install itself every time you start it. Unfortunately, I don't know of any way to fix it without the CD.

Somehow you program has been corrupted and Windows wants to perform a repair, and maybe an update. So put in the CD when asked. However, if your copy is a pirate version then you have got a problem.

Most likely the installation hasn't been fully done, so i guess if you put the windows 200 disc in like it asks it should finish it. Then next time it should start up normally :)
