The cost of the cable bellows water Rs5 / mtr and cost of cable on the bank is Rs 4/ mtr. Find the pt where the cable cut through the river.

I think 2100mtr is the answer. It is clearly said that the total length between the power unit and power plant is 3000mtr, and the power plant is opposite to the power unit i,e opposite to the bank of the river, that means the power unit is on the other bank of the river, so u just need to subtract the width of the river(900mtr) from the total length(3000mtr), that is 2100mtr is the pt. where the cable cuts the river.
