Start out with slow old classics, and song for your dance with spouse, dance with Dad and the slowly go to more rock. Here is a song for your dance with Dad. Go to http://www.fairplaymusicalgifts.com/samples.html and download “Song for The Parents of The Bride”
You can also do a dance, get everyone on the floor to slow dance and start eliminating people by asking people who been married less than a year, and then less than 5 years and then less than 10 and so on and so on until the last person married the longest is last.

Sexyback by Justin Timberlake. I dont normally go for music like that but I have never sat at a stoplight while the car sitting next to me is palying that song and the people have not been jamming. If you can car dance to it, its almost guaranteed that people will dance to it on a dance floor.
And I must admit, it does jam.

YMCA, Time Warp, Rock This Town, Sweet Home Alabama, Living La Vida Loca... These seem to get people out on the floor.

Sweet Caroline is a great song to dance to at a wedding, and although it may sound extremely cheesy, the Chicken Dance is fun as well.
