The Bible states that in order for Christ to return, the temple must be rebuilt. (Jewish temple) I suspect that the desire to destroy the dome of the rock is due to the desire to see this prophecy become a reality. After all, the dome of the rock sits on the old "temple mount". I personally do not take this prophecy literally. I believe the temple speaks of the Jewish people coming together again.

not an issue until they remodel or add to the temple and yes the time draws nigh. Yoon says there will be a new heaven and new earth. misconception . We will always have the same earth . Although there will be a new heaven and a new earth age
(era, time dispensation if you will). This new time period starts when Christ returns. IT is called the LORD'S DAY. And it is actually a thousand year period.

If that's what they're doing, it will set the middle east on fire.
Billions of people share the belief that the creator of the universe wrote (or dictated) one of the many holy books. While religious tolerance is surely better than religious war, tolerance is not without its problems. Out fear of provoking religious hatred has rendered us unwilling to criticize ideas that are maladaptive. It has obliged us to lie to ourselves—repeatedly and at the highest levels of discourse—about the compatibility of religion and scientific rationality. Our competing religious certainties are impeding the emergence of a viable global civilization. Religious faith—faith that there is a God who cares what His name is called, faith that Jesus is coming back to earth—is on the wrong side of an increasing war of ideas. Unfortunately, there are many books that claim divine authorship, and they make incompatible claims to divine authorship; and they make incompatible claims as to how we MUST live. Competing religious doctrines have shattered our world into separate moral communities, and these divisions have become a continual course of human conflict.

The New Jerusalem in the christian bible is in heaven. According to Jesus, God's kingdom isn't of this world. There will be a new Earth, so gaining a part of this one is vanity.

They're building a bridge, and have architects ensuring they do no damage at all. This bridge is meant to protect people and save lives.
If a Muslim leader was doing this, he'd be getting high praise.
Get over yourselves.
