"It seems like only the good die young." is the one I hate. I'm sure an evil person can die just as easily as a good person.

There's one going around the office lately: "knowledge transfer." It's like "training," I guess, only they apparently attach electrodes to your head and the head of Peter Boyle and hope that everything you know will transfer over.

The "knowlege transfer" (or "training" in layman's terms) is almost always followed by "offshoring" (or "layoffs" in layman's terms).

Okay, this probably seems a little nit-picky... but I dislike it when people say "I could care less." Let's think about that for a minute.... if you could care less, that means the depths of your caring have not yet reached the lowest point. So you do care some.

" I couldn't care less" is the proper phrase. :-)

"kill two birds with one stone" I really hate that phrase because it is cruel. Yes I am aware it is just a figure of speech but I hate it anyway.

"The early bird gets the worm" as an exhortation to get up early. It completely ignores the point that while the early bird gets the worm, the early worm gets EATEN!

So much depends on your point-of-view...;-))

I don't like it when people say "No offense, but.........." It usually means what they are about to say is insulting, belittling, debasing, cruel, or otherwise unnecessary.

"We'll/I'll miss you. " BS
"Hello, how are you." As if they really care.
