No car needs $7k in electrical repair. I can replace an entire electrical system - including ECU - for half that. So step one is to find another shop to give a proper estimate. Step two is to decide whether to pay for the repairs or not. Contrary to the ill-informed first answer - you do NOT have 3 days to unwind the contract. Not 3 days or 3 hours. As soon as the ink dries you own the car. Period. Why is the used car dealer at fault for a engine swap that was done "at some point"? Perhaps the swap was done before he bought it as well. You test drove it, you looked at it, you bought it. What would make you think that the dealer knew there was a 72 hour life span on the car? It sucks that it broke down after 3 days. But, these things do happen. Had you gotten a professional inspection before buying, you may not be in this position now. Since you waived that option and bought it, you own it.

You're going to have to be more specific with your question. However, be warned that you sign so many papers at car dealerships that more than likely they covered themselves from whatever is bothering you.
Check out all the paperwork you signed and reconsider if need be.

Gee, whatever for??? Used dealerships are so honest and reputable!!! But seriously, you need to provide more information about why and where you are.
