I am being laid off in a few months from my job, and I doubt I am gonna find a new job in the field I want. What is the best way to play lotto numbers? Should I program a computer to be a random number generator, or should I find an algorithm that can predict when certain numbers are due to be picked????

The best strategy for playing the lottery is not to play the lottery. The lottery is a hidden tax on the poor and underprivileged. Your money is better spent looking for a good job or towards education to get a better job. Especially if you can program a computer to predict numbers that can be picked.

How many million ares play the lottery?

I agree the lottery does give people a dream, a false dream, of riches. But if you want to dream, you can do that for free.

God, I hope you aren't serious.

The lotto is a -EV proposition. The expected payout is about 30 cents on the dollar, and that INCLUDES the time that you hit the multi-million dollar payout. If it was beatable then people would currently be beating it. The vast, vast majority of the time you win nothing. This is not a way to make money to replace a job.

The only way to ever so slightly increase your expected value is to play combos with numbers higher than 31. The reason is that the most common plays people make are birthdays. You aren't more likely to hit, but you are less likely to have to share the prize with someone else if you hit.

But either way it's still a losing proposition. Play for fun if you wan't, just don't think that you can beat the game. Certainly don't do it in place of a job.

I know this sounds creepy but if you wait for a full moon and use this method, I can almost guarantee you that you will win. Get out a standard piece of notebook paper and write all of the available lotto numbers on the paper. Now, make sure they are evenly spaced or this will not work. Now, take a penny and hold it exactly 3 feet above the paper. Close your eyes and move your hand in the shape of a cross. Now drop the penny. Write down the number that the penny fell on (or fell closest to). Now repeat this for the entire set of numbers. I can GUARANTEE you that these will be the winning numbers. I don't know why this works but I think it has something to do with God magic and what not (the cross and the number 3). Good luck (of coarse you won't need luck because you will win regardless).

I can't tell you my strategy that I learned while selling lotto tix for several years in retail, that would diminish my chances of hitting the jackpot.
But I can tell you that there is a way to win at Keno, but it takes an initial investment. - There was a man who filled out 100 Keno cards, some at random, some his lucky numbers, but the strategy is in the number of cards filled out. It cost $1 to play per card, so he'd come in and drop a $100 down, give me his cards, and wait. It took a few minutes to run them all through the machine, as you can imagine...lol, but in the end, he always came out ahead, whether it be $20, or $500 due to the sheer number of cards he entered, there were always enough winners to make up for the initial cost of $100. (In other words, he always won at least $100 off of the 100 cards played.)

Take the money you would spend and put it in a savings account. ING (internet bank) offers almost 5% on savings. You will have better luck that you would on the lottery. Just look around - only poor people play the lottery.

if there was some mathmatical equation that could help predict the lottery, ever genius would be a millionare. Unfortunately, it's best not to waste your money at all. Invest it in an education.

There is no strategy, it is random. If there were a strategy, then the same people playing that strategy would win all the time. That doesn't happen now, does it?
