She does not contact me or send me photos. i have tried contacting her, but she will not talk to me. She will not talk to my family. Nothing! I am paying child support right now, and i am wondering is it wrong of me to sign over my rights so she can go on and live her life? and how do i go about signing over my parental rights?? i could really use the help here

I guess that you have no attachment to your child. To sign over these rights means that this will indeed become permanent. If she wants this too then it can happen. Most women receiving support will not allow this unless they are getting remarried. My question to you is...Do you want to be a part of your child's life? If yes, then the very organization that collects your child support will ensure that you get visitation rights. Even if the child lives in another state you will be allowed some summer time, and some holidays at a minimum.

I am a custodial father. I strugle every day to make sure my kids are safe and they have the answers they need to grow as intelligent, responsible adults. No matter what you do, such as signing off parental rights, this does not release you from that responsibilty and you will still pay child support. You just give the mother more rights to attack you through the courts as time goes by.Then when that child reaches 18 she will A) Hate you B) seek you out and C) not know here heritage from your side. You are a father, this is a life time commitment, sry. If you want to learn more about your rights as a father please visit this web site www.F4J.us

I would try to contact the mom and try to get some visiting time established. Signing over your rights means you want nothing to do w/ your child. I believe you should talk to a lawyer because you're paying child support so you should have visitation rights.

well that depends on how badly you want to not ever be a part of your kids life. and if you do sign over one day the child may try to find you and could find out the truth and it could really scar her. scince you are paying child support you have rights to see your child.there is nothing she can do about that. so maybe instead of trying to contact her, go through the court or attorney general.

If you are paying child support then you should be able to see your child. Why should you sign over parental right. Just like she went to court to get child support go to court to get visitation rights.

You can sign over your rights but you have a right to see your child too if you want to do so. If you don't sign them over, if you do get a lawyer and find out your rights as a father.

I feel sorry for you.
My guys ex refuses to let him or our daughters see the son they had together.
she only knows about 1 girl has seen her and did everything she could to make our lives a hell to get us to leave the state.
she tolda judge we would never see him.
so far she has gotten her way.
my girls will be told the truth some day about all this.
she gets everything from the state and loses it if she has to allow visits and the state is one that wants child support not her. Because she would have to bend a little and not be able to control people like GOD.
Oh she will take money as long as her friends get it to her so she dosent have to addmit support.
Her other son is allowed to know his brother.
GET OVER IT LIFE IS NOT FAIR. THE ONLY THING YOU CAN HOPE FOR IS WHAT I KNOW WILL HAPPEN IN OUR CASE.
Some one will tell him the truth someday and he IS GOING TO TURN ON MOMMY DEAREST.

The issue for you is some state's will still garnish your wages for child support even though you signing over your rights.. Florida is one of them I do know does say your still financially responsible. find out in the state she lives in first, be careful and good luck..

Signing off will not release your child support obligation. I would leave it be, when your child is old enough the most likely will have an intresest in meeting you and you can explain that you tried to have contact but she would not allow it.
