Actually they have proven that eating cocoa (which is an ingredient of chocolate) is GOOD for you.... there is lots of data to support this on the Internet; however, they suggest eating the dark chocolate (not milk choclate) ... and that one or two squares a day is appropriate....
Chocolate is not a "bad" food - it's just that eating too much of it isn't a healthy choice.
Dark choc. has antioxidents and can lower blood pressure.
I am a chocoholic too !

Chocolate is a natural antioxident but the cheaper chocolates use paraphin and other ingredients that are not that healthy.
You can eat chocolate just remember the darker and more natural the better. You can also try buying a box of cocoa and making some of the recipes on it. Try Dove chocolate or better and just cut back

There's a new line of chocolates coming out that is somehting like 75% chocolate. that's healthier than most chocolates we consume. I think Dove is the manufacturer making that type of chocolate.

Switch to dark chocolate. The higher the cocoa % the better. Not only is it better for you. Due to the fruity/bitter/dark flavor you tend to eat less of it while still calming the craving. Try one with berries or nuts to add to the health benifits.
