Puppies lose their "puppy teeth" around 2 months of age starting with their incisors (the ones up front) and move towards the back of their mouth - from the canines, to the premolars, to the molars. Around 9-10 months of age they should have all of their adult teeth. He could be getting his adult molar teeth in, as puppies have less teeth than adult dogs do, and they don't have to "lose" a tooth in order to grow a new one, like a molar.

Get a Kong toy and put peanut butter inside to give him something to chew on. There are toys on the market that you can wet down and freeze to help with any teething pain. You can also try brushing your dog's teeth to help massage and stimulate the gums.

Hope this helps!

With collies, even if he has loads and loads of attention, he may still be bored - I had the same problem with mine at that age. He is beginning to need some mental stimulation in the form of some type of 'work' This is where you are asking him to concentrate and perform, and rewarding this. A perfect way to do this is to go to obediance classes with him.If you want you can then start to do agility or something similar once you have the basic obediance, although algilty should be left until 12 months to enusre the bones have formed fully.

Collies are a working dog and need a sense of fulfillment, that lots of general attention and playing just doesn't fill - they need some sort of job to do to make them feel useful. They are hard work and need this extra attention but they are so worth it - they are a wonderful breed and make excellent pets if they have the correct mental stimulation - the best thing you can do is find a good local club and take your dog - both of you will really enjoy it.

He's a working dog and unless he had a job to do, he's going to get bored or even depressed. Toys aren't enough for a dog that was bred to herd cattle all day in a field.

Follow the other suggestions and get him into Agility or Flyball. Doggie Daycare is also something you should consider for him once in a while so he can herd the other dogs around.

Definately sounds like bordem to me. Border collies are working animals that need plenty of physical & mental stimulation. If he is left on his own for long preiods of time he will show his distaste for this by wrecking your house. No amount of chews or toys can replace human company or exercise.

Sometimes the chewing doesn't stop. You just have to work with them to want to chew on toys and what you allow. Dogs that don't stop chewing usually have better teeth as they age sop its not a bad thing.

try kongs and rawhide chews. there both really good at occupying dog. while a raw hide chew is just a chew and will dissapear, kongs are made of rubber and you can put food in them. someone once told me that if you melt some cheese onto dry dog food, put it in the kong and then freeze it for a while it keeps them entertained for ages. just make sure you get the right size for your dog.(they come in different sizes)
hope this helps.

Sounds like your dog is bored. Remember your dog is a herder and needs a job. Flyball, agility, or obedience classes are a good place to start.

In any given situation, focus on what you do want your dog to do instead of on whatever he’s doing wrong. Learn how to train your dog https://tr.im/NzvHv

For example, suppose that on many evenings, your young dog gets busy looking for trouble just as you’re digesting your dinner. He grabs a boot from the mat by the front door and gallops through the house with it. You yell at him and take it away. He grabs its mate. You yell and take it away. He heads for the kitchen and starts checking out the counters in case something tasty’s been left behind. You chase him away. And on and on, until you’ve lost your temper and torn out clumps of hair you can ill afford to lose.

Border collies are very intelligent dogs and need to use their brains. I think your dog is bored and needs to go to flyball or agility classes.
