If your friend won an auction I think you have to pay it.

That'a an ebay rule

otherwise try to explain what happened . . the sellers will give you a negative feedback ..

how could your friend log into ebay ? ?

Make sure that email is authentic. I have been getting some fake ones saying that I purchased an auction, but when you check deeper into it, it's a fraud.

But, if the kid did bid on something, SOMEONE is going to have to pay, or you will have to contact the seller and notify they of what has happened. I would also talk to your friend and let them know what their son has done.

Did he sign on your E-bay account or his own? You would only get an e-mail if he used your E-bay account or if he used your e-mail address when he opened his account. If he won an auction, he must pay for it or they can report him as a non paying bidder. At 9 years old, he is not allowed to have his own account. I would talk to him and ask him what he did. Once you know the entire story, I'd call his parents and get this thing resolved. Then I'd contact the seller and tell them what happened. They may let it go or they may want you or his parents to pay for it. It all depends on whose account he used. Then I wouldn't let him use my computer anymore. Good luck!

That means he went on ebay and bid on a item to buy and that he didnt pay for it so that mean he will get a strike on the account and he might even be banded. U should be carefull with that cuz if that your account and you have a credie card or debit card on there it could get charged. Good luck

It means he bid on something with your information. You should e-mail the seller ASAP and explain what happened. They can't make you pay, but they can give you a negative feedback, which might effect your ability to buy from other eBay-er's in the future.

ROCKY,

if in fact this kid BID on something and it was under YOUR user ID then YOU are the responsible party.

you need to explain the situation to the seller.

he has every right to put a NON PAYING BIDDER strike on you. one won't affect you too much.

but many sellers will agree to MUTUALLY cancel the transaction.

if they won't, then you need to have the kids parents pay you for what their kid did!

NEVER leave your computer on when a childs around, especially if signed into your ebay account.

go into your account and see if in fact your ID has won or bid on something.

GOOD LUCK!

OMG! tell whoever sold the item to him that you don't want to buy the item any more. if he makes you buy it, take the money from your sons bank account
