Depends upon the church. I know of some evangelical and baptist churches that are the same. You would have to look at their confession of faith/doctrinal statement and any other supporting documents on their beliefs. Historically, baptist churches are fundamental in faith (some evangelical in practice) and evangelical churches are evangelical in faith. (That is of course from theological definitions of those terms.) Just look into the two different churches that will tell you alot. Just because a church is baptist and another is evangelical does it mean anything. There is a huge spectrum as to what each of them could believe. Let me recommend to you a book called "Life in the Father's House." The author of this book discusses issues that need to be addressed when looking at churches.

there are Baptist evangelical mega churches
sometimes there is not a different sometimes there is

there are at least two styles

some churches are in the style of Bethlehem Baptist or McLean Bible Church and promote depth and expositional preaching

some churches are in the style of Willow Creek or Saddleback which cater to seekers and purposefully are not so deep... while perhaps working hard to be visitor friendly these might be weaker on depth and discipleship

Evangelical churches are Spirit filled and usually teach from the Holy Bible without getting caught up in legalism.

Baptists believe that once you are saved you can go on sinning and not lose your salvation. You will just have a lesser position in heaven. Others say as Jesus said to the woman who was caught it adultry, "Sin no more".
