"Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God" by J.I. Packer

It opened my eyes about the sovereign will of God and why we evangelize to begin with. It's a wonderful resource for defending Calvinism as well.

Anyone else read it?

JI Packer is a noted Calvinist and has written excellent material regarding God's sovereignty. I'm glad it opened your eyes, and I'm glad to see that other people are interested in reading the book.

i'm presently observing Centennial: The Epic Mini-sequence on DVD. It became first broadcast right here interior the united kingdom interior the late 1970's i think of. Taken from the e book Centennial via James A Michener, this is a protracted 20+ hours long and on 8 discs. each and each episode is from ninety minutes to 2 hours long so i'm rationing my viewing as i do no longer prefer it to end. I purely love this account of the settlement of the West from 1795 good as much as the twentieth century. The casting is marvelous. Raymond Burr,Richard Chamberlain, Robert Conrad, Lynn Redgrave, Stephanie Zimbalist, Sally Kellerman and much extra nicely known faces. I controlled to observe a number of it while it became on television, yet simply by paintings pressures ignored plenty first time around. Why it took till 2012 to launch it on DVD i do no longer understand, besides the indisputable fact that that's the final sequence that I actual have ever watched from the USA. As for books, i'm analyzing Sir William Garrow, via John Hostettler and Richard Braby, it provides some stable insights into the existence and ideas of the guy who helped exchange the British legal equipment.
