It probably depends on the State where you live. Often the fine is listed on the front or back side of the citation. If not, the court having jurisdiction (where you should appear before) is listed on all citations. Simply call the court clerk of that jurisdiction and they can advise you. In most states, if you choose to enter a guilty plea, you can mail the ticket in with the fine and avoid the court appearence.

Clerk of Courts for whatever jurisdiction gave you the ticket (city, county or state). If you look on the website for the city/county/state, you will find the phone number for the Clerk of Courts and they can tell you.
