...my goal is to lose 20-30 lbs. In my hectic schedule I am only able to go to this class once a week as opposed to twice a week. I'm cutting out junk food and will try to eat more frequently and during the day, before I only ate once or twice a day and mostly at night.

You may, but as quickly as you might like. Get on a real good plan. The kickboxing is good, but you need maybe two more days of exercise of at least 30 minutes a time, if it is just walking. Look for little ways to increase your activity. this will help accelerate your weight loss and help you me you goal.

You can Lose 9 lbs every 11 days after you know these facts:

Low Fat Foods DON'T WORK.........
You cannot lose weight using Low Fat Diets. Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes. This fact alone should tell you that eating a purely low fat menu is not the answer to losing weight.

Low Calorie Diets DON'T WORK........
You won't lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either. In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body's fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight (low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all weight loss comes to a halt --- known as a dieting plateau). You can never get slim by starving yourself.

Low Carb Plans DON'T WORK.......
You'll probably find it extremely difficult to get slim using a Low Carb Dieting Plan. Low carb diets have recently become popular over the last couple years, but the problem with low carb menus is that they are too strict and TOO HARD TO FOLLOW for average people. Low carb menus tend to rob your body of too much energy (carbohydrates) and make it nearly impossible to remain on the program for very long. This is why so many dieters find it difficult to follow a strict low carbohydrate menu.

In fact, the food that you eat can either make you THIN or FAT!!!

Changing your diet alone will help you lose the weight however, you may see slow results with only working out one day.

You say you have a hectic schedule but schedule your workouts in just like you would anything else.

Or do your workouts at home, you can get some great cardio dvds.

No, you need to work out more than one day a week. Most people have a hectic schedule, but those who are thin and healthy make their fitness a priority, so working out is just one of those things they make time for!

as long as you not taking in more calories than what your body needs then it will convert some of the fat cells back into energy and you will lose weight. So as long as you changed your eating habits you will loose weight. working out will help further even if it is only one day a week.

To lose (at least) pounds over the course of 6 weeks and tone up a lot, do cheerleading for four hours a week, eat NO junk and eat smallish portions. Make sure your diet is balanced, tohugh.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

You might have class once a week but you can train for kick boxing more than one day a week. All your training does not have to be in class.
