Why are people so into drugs? Whats so good about it?

There is nothing good about it! What generally happens is their "friends" tell them it is a great feeling and I guess it is. But what happens next is that the brain is affected and begins to malfunction. When coming down off the drug people feel horrible, depressed, and sometimes in pain. Taking more drugs relieves this negative feeling and so the cycle begins.
There are many great people addicted to drugs, but the drugs prohibit them from being themselves.
Drugs cause an artificial feeling of incredible strength, sexuality, and happiness, then the reality sets in when clean/sober.

Nothing is good about drugs! people just do them because they either want to feel better about themselves or they just want to show everyone they're cool (when they're not); This happens at a young age, like when someone's in high school and they're in total peer pressure, thinking if they should get high or not.

It depends on what drugs you are talking about. some people are hooked onto the drugs they use (like crack, coke, heroin, etc.) other people just use it for recreation ( smoking a joint). some people use drugs to have an "out-of-body experience" (lsd, mushrooms, etc.) everyone has a different reason. personally, i used to smoke to relax, now i just drink a beer.

It makes them forget the sad reality they don't have the guts to face and also becase they think that the real problems that come from drug abuse only happen to their neighbor or in the movies.

It's fun to get high--in MODERATION. i don't think it's harmful if done with care; know what you're taking.

Some people are depressed or anxious. Or for some reason they don't feel right; my half-brother never could tell me why he is a drug addict.
