You should definitely go to Hollywood and see Grauman's chinese theatre, hollywood blvd. and just the interesting people that walk the blvd. Also go to Beverly Hills and shop on Rodeo drive. Try to get out to Venice Beach and walk down the Beach to Santa Monica, its only about a fifteen minute walk if you don't stop and look at the artwork and sunglasses being sold along the way. When you get to Santa Monica there is plenty to do, especially at night. You could walk on the pier and grab a bite to eat or you could walk along the promenade and shop or eat. There are plenty of nice restaurants there and nighttime on the promenade is really cool. Also, you'll want to go out to the valley to Universal City and sightsee. Other ideas are going to Disneyland or Knots Berry Farm, both in Anaheim. Also, you might want to catch a baseball game. For other ideas, you can google sightseeing in Los Angeles.

Disneyland - The happiest place on earth. Anaheim, Ca.
Chinatown - Eat some dimsum at Empress Pavilion. Shop around at Dynasty Center. Buy some T-shirts for something like 3/$10 and buy other items for yourself. Chinese New Year is celebrated in February with firecrackers and dragon dance. If you see the dragon dancing infront of you, hold a dollar bill and watch the dragon swallow it. It's alot of fun.
Getty Center - (J Paul Getty Museum) - Take a tram ride to its hilltop summit for its museum. 1200 Getty Center Dr., Los Angeles.
Knott's Berry Farm - 8039 Beach Blvd., Buena Park.
Newport Harbor Tour - Take a 45 minutes sightseeing tour around America's finest yacht harbor and see over 15 miles of beautiful waterfront homes and 8000 yachts.
Universal City Walk - A promenade filled with restaurants, shops, and movie theater.
Universal Studios - Live the movies at the world's largest and busiest motion picture studio. 100 Universal City Plaza. Universal City.
Hollywood - Dance your night away at the clubs near Hollywood/Vine. Look for your favorite stars on the side walk. Shopping at eating at the Kodak Theatre where you get to walk on the red carpet. http://www.kodaktheatre.com
Beverly Hills - walk around the expensive shops on Rodeo Dr. Don't forget to visit Niketown; it's 2 stories high.
OK, I'm tire of typing. I'm sure there's a lot more places.
