My hair is a mousy colour. I used to have blonde highlights but got bored with the colour so had a dark brown colour put on it at the hairdressers - this was a wash-out colour. I started colouring my hair myself with just the wash-in out colour. I want to just go back to my natural colour and havent used a wash in colour for about 3 months now but my hair is still really dark brown is there anything I can buy to make it go back to its natural colour? can I get it done at the hairdressers? also when it is this colour and the sun gets to it - it turns bright orange!

if you want 2 get rid of the die naturally
buy head an shoulders dandruff shampoo and conditioner (even if you may not have dandruff) wash it with this but i wouldn't advise washing every night as it gets rid of the natural oils in your hair will take about 2 weeks.
but it means not having any more chemicals . and will not weaken it as much as it would if you chemical washed it out at the hair dressers
♥good luck ♥

First the only way it will go back to your color is if you let it grow and get cuts more often. If the highlights are blonde, use a blonde shampoo to bring it out, if you want it to be your color pick a wash out color close to your own and use it, half a bottle unless your hair is long, then keep getting cuts until the old color is gone, then you can let it go back to it's natural state. Until the old highlights are cut out it will remain like that. The wash out color is really just conditioners with color and does very little damage, so don't worry too much about usine it. Good luck. You may want to try a short cut for a while to speed up the process. Also, always save the conditioner and use it every few weeks along with any other that you use, it is made for colored hair, a dab will make a difference.

You will want to go to a salon for this one. They may strip your color out, then apply your color on it. What happens even with the wash out dye's is that your hair is absorbing the base color and there is no way of preventing that.
The salon may also try bleaching your hair with a non-amonia bleach, with is a lot safer and may save your hair from being damaged.
However, all of these things are going to have a toll on your hair and may damage it quite a bit. Long story short, go to the salon and tell them that you would like your natural hair back. If you do it yourself, you will have orange hair and a lot of damage.

Good luck to you! =)

If you go to the hairdressers they will do a strand test first and experiment with it to get the colour you want. Then they will dye it for you and your natural colour will just grow through and you won't even notice the difference.
