CCleaner is not for virus removal. You need to use a good anti-virus program for that. And you really shouldn't go messing with the Registry. It's a sure-fire way to screw things up royally. Most of the registry cleaners/optimizers are unnecessary.

You may find many free registry cleaning softwares from Internet. But I prefer Regclean. Because it is from Microsoft who knows the architecture of Windows registry very well than anyone else. And it is free to download. You can download it from the following link.
