Because it is a science that attempts to undo religion, and the R&S boards are where atheists love to hang out and argue.

Science that is accurate will never disprove the Word of God..if it conformed to the Word and started with the true premise, science would be drawing the right conclusions instead of constantly having to reinvent itself.

Well, if it were just evolution questions i.e. "is there a close common ancestor identified for wombats and kangaroos?" or "What is the oldest fossil evidence for canines", those would be more appropriate in the Science forums. When you deal with "If evolution is true and we came from monkeys, why are there still monkeys" this is pitting science vs religion as are most of the evolution questions in R&S.

The key is not why they do or don't, it is how they understand.
This is the key! Understanding!

I personally do not understand many things. However I may lean towards my own understanding, which can lead me to a form of ignorance. It also can lead me towards a form of Logic or Intelligence or Rationality, etc., etc., etc..

Does this understanding I have help me to help others. Maybe! Maybe not! But what it is, is my own understanding.

Now if I step outside of my own understanding and look towards another's understanding, will this enable me or disable me. For some the answer is yes! For others the answer is no!
Why?
If my answer was no, it is because I prefer my own understanding as the only way.
If my answer is yes, it is because I realized that my way is not the absolute way.

Does this make me stronger or weaker. For some it is a weakness, for others it is a strength.

The key to this whole issue is Understanding!

Evolution is a widely accepted theory of scientists who are not christians. It cannot be proven because of all the missing links, but is only one theory that explains the beginning of the world. The need of evolution as a theory is based on people rejecting the idea of a creator who we as people are responsible to.

Because so many religious nut cases are frantically foaming at the mouth in their pitiful attempts do disprove it. If they didn't keep denying it and trying to replace it with ID in the schools I doubt it would ever come up in here.

Evolution is not science! It is a theory. A theory is a guess.

Evolution is as much a religeon as any other. They are as dogmatic in their beliefs as any christian, muslim, hindu, etc.
They try to jam their beleif system down the throats of any one who will listen.
They change the tenants of their religeon s they "uncover" more and more evidence to support their belief.

Give me good old Bible based christianity any day. Our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. We don't have to swallow a whole new line of beliefs every few years because our beliefs DO NOT CHANGE.

Seriously? Because Creationists have a problem with it. "They started it!" Meanwhile, I don't see any evolutionary biologists lobbying to insert Wright's coefficient of relationship into the Lord's Prayer. Scientists know the bounds of their own discipline; religious freaks do not.

Maniacs will bend facts to their willing. It doesn't mean they are right or that perseverance equates with proof. Do you think the Moon landing was a hoax?

Think about it.

Because religious people are afraid of the "evolution theory". It kills their beliefs.

If creation is a science, why is it posed in R&S?

Evolution doesn't require belief. It requires study. But why study when you can say, "I don't have to study... I know god did it all."

Conjectures are guesses. Hypotheses are educated guesses.
Theories are not guesses. Theories are supported by evidence.
