I don't think all religious people are like poptarts, but many are. Many are dazzled by the shiny packaging, festive exterior etc etc, but inside are just as bad as the poptart BUT, some are more like a potato.

Yep, a potato is pretty ugly and dirty on the outside, mis-shaped and burried under-ground away from the light of day. BUT, can you imagine a world without potatoes? Potatoes are essential in many cultures as the main source of nutrition. Potatoes are the silent heros, making any meal special. Potatoes themselves are all much the same, but they can be delivered to you in different ways (some you like, some you don't). Importantly, a potato never claimed to be anything other than a potato and it never tried to be shiny and festive.

Some religious people are like poptarts.
Some are like potatoes.

Do you want to be a poptart or a potato?

You are lumping again. Not all religious people are like that. In fact, being religious does not even imply that you are good. You can be religious in different ways. My brother smokes religiously every 15 minutes, never fails. He also visits the bathroom 3 times a day, religiously. People get religion and Christianity confused. Maybe if you would actually read and study the bible and devote time to really understanding Christianity, you would not be so quick to judge people.

if it makes you feel better.....
"poptart" is one of the nicer things I have been called.
I think I like "Bibleist" the best tho'.

"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness;
but unto us that are saved it is the power of God."
1 Corinthians 1:18
"Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools".
Romans 1:22"The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned."
1 Corinthians 2:14 (New International Version)

No, church people are not like poptarts. I cannot understand church people and their funny emotions, but I do know they are not like poptarts.

I once stepped on a poptart, but I would never step on church people.

Sing it with me chilldren, I Stepped On A Poptart.

Yes but they do taste good when toasted. Of course, Pop tarts don't kill people and force people to live a lie.

Very interesting way of comparison. I like that. Not insulting, clean, funny, and yet serious.

Alot of people are this way, not just religious people. everyone can choose how they are going to live. Religious people know better they just are pretending even to themselves that they are not that way.
